Ac|ti|nid [↑ Actinium u. ↑ -id (3)], das; -s, -e[n]; Symbol: (nach IUPAC unzulässig:) An; Syn.: Actinoid: Gruppenbez. für die 15 Elemente des Periodensystems mit den Protonenzahlen 89 (Actinium, Gruppe 3) bis 103 (Lawrencium); manchmal zählt man nur die sog. 5f -Elemente 90 (Thorium) bis 103, nicht aber Ac selbst zu den Actininden. Den A. schließen sich die Transactiniden u. diesen die Superactiniden an. Vgl. Transurane.
